LEGENDARY

So, you guys...this is my last Blog Post as a 24y/o. My Birthday is in two days and I am making a huge deal out of it. I mean what would you do without me? Life wouldn't be as blush, right? I really loved being twenty-four I must say I have lived and I have learned. And whenever my Birthday comes up, I just start to reflect really hard on where I am in life. And so I found myself in a should I, would I, could I spirit lately. Thinking about where I could have been if I did some things differently.
What I could have achieved by now if I would have made different decisions.
And I'm sure the enemy loves it because the moment we can't see the blessings in our now we embrace being discontented. What God is telling us is that the blessing is in the now. In this season. Wherever we find ourselves today is exactly where He wants to bless us. He wants us to know that we are in the right place at the right time.

We have the opportunity to birth something in our bloodlines today that will bless our children's children. the decisions we make today determine our tomorrow. So let us not live in regret, know that wherever God has you today is where He wants you, believe that your steps are ordered. believe that all things are working for your good, that God has a purpose for your life and plans to prosper you.
It is with this assurance that you will be a living legend. What we are doing today concerns generational blessings. We are talking about leaving an inheritance to the people after you. God said to Abraham I bless you so that through you all the nations of the earth will be blessed. This is the same promise by which we received mercy, grace and eternal life through Jesus. This is the same promise we still live off till today.

And I am not just talking about inheritance in a financial sense. This isn't just about buildings, cars, and money, but a spiritual inheritance We are talking about a spiritual seed that your children's children will benefit from. We are talking about prayers that will remove the hand of the enemy from anyone who has your blood running through their veins. Prayers that will save your great-grandchildren. Prayers that will have them stand out in the midst of others.

I want every woman to understand that you carry the power and the anointing to manifest something in your bloodline today that will change the destiny of the generations after you, you have the power and the anointing to break generational curses. All you have to do is decide. Decide today. The decisions we make today determine our future. We are writing our story right now.

A biblical legend to me is Mary the mother of Jesus. She really birthed something that changed generations after her. And the more  I read her story the more this one question keeps popping up in my head:" God, why Mary?"
I don't know why but she pops up out of nowhere to me. There's no introduction, no biography, none of her good deeds are recorded before we are introduced to her as the woman to carry our Saviour.

And the three things we do get to know about Mary that stuck out to me are
1.) She was a Virgin
2.) She was engaged to Joseph
3.)She was a cousin to Elizabeth

I don't want to put too much emphasis on the whole virginity thing, but I just want us to understand that virginity and purity don't start in your panties, it starts with your heart. There are a lot of girls with their V-card that still wouldn't qualify as Jesus' mum...just saying. Purity is a heart posture, it's a surrendered heart, a heart that is devoted to God and therefore abstains from anything that would jeopardize the place of God in our hearts. That's purity. Pure motives, pure intentions. This is what caused God to trust Mary with that task and it is what we should be after too.

Now, point two had me shook. We get to know a little bit more about Joseph's heritage than about Mary's. And Joseph had some of that David blood running through his veins, okay. Now let me say this, and say it loud for the people in the back. The guys we choose to associate ourselves with as women of God and women with a purpose are essential. E-ssen-tial!

Mary may have not even been qualified to be the mother of the Messiah but because of the blood in Joseph...haaa c'mon somebody!! There was a promise given to King David concerning an everlasting Kingdom (1.Samuel 7). And because God is Faithful(!!!), when He looked for someone to carry our Redeemer, He remembered Joseph. But Joseph is a Man, so he can't carry a child but Mary could. So because Joseph had a promise in his lineage and because Mary said yes to Joseph, when he asked her to become his wife, she inherited the promise too. When we say yes to a guy we don't just inherit his promises but also his issues...The baggage, the misfortunes.

When we say yes to a guy we say yes to his God-given promise. That's why I say this so much: "I will never settle for anything less but a godly man." And this is not about some big fancy title, this is about a purpose that will glorify God and affect my lineage. In order to be some man's rib and helper, you need to know that there is a promise from God on his life. As women of God, we are not made to carry a promise a man made himself. Or an idea he formed in his own head. We submit to a man who is submitted to the will of God upon his life.

At times we think: "Well, he is a believer and I am a believer so it should work...no, no, no, no, no you need to know that you are able to help him carry, birth, manifest and build up his promises and purpose. And if you can't you're not his wife.
The guys we say yes to today determine our lineage and the character of our offspring.
Same goes with Sarah, we don't know a lot about Sarah but we know that Abraham had a promise and because Sarah was his wife she carried some of that promise too.

So what made Mary a legend was the guy she said yes to. And the same thing goes for us.

Are you willing to help your man carry the promises of God on his life in order to build a legacy for seed?

The fact that she was a cousin to Elizabeth just really shows that God truly is a God of all generations.  Because what we know about Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist. is that she had priestly blood in her from the line of Aaron. It doesn't necessarily mean that Mary was a from a priestly line too, but this just shows that it really comes down to your bloodline. God is the same from generation to generation and He always raises up people to represent Him and do His will. And my prayer for you today is that in your family, in your generation, and in your bloodline, that person may be you. May you be a legend, May they refer to God as your God, may the people after you honor God by your example. Woman of God you are a legend, you just gotta start acting like it.
Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!"-Luke 1:45
