Because HE is - I am

The Bible is such an amazing book. It tells us everything we need to know about our maker, aswell as everything we need to know about ourselves.

In the book of Exodus 3:14 God introduces Himself to Moses as I am that I am or I will be what I will be. And God's name is a perfect picture of who God is to us, because He leaves room to add something to it.

God is a God that fills in the blank... -Pastor Dharius Daniels

God introducing Himself as I am is like Him saying: "I am whatever you need me to be, whenever you need me, now and forever."

When we read the word of God we see Him to be the creator of all things. We see Him as a God of His people. A God who keeps His promise. A God who is merciful and gracious and loving and kind.

Our perception of God, is equally as important as how we see ourselves.
-Pastor Dharius Daniels

And what does the Bible tell us about ourselves? It tells us that we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Gods special posession... (1. Peter 2:9 NIV). That we are the light of the world...(Matthew 5:14 NIV) and that we are blessed when we come in and blessed when we go out. I mean there is so much more in His word that He has declared over us, His people. His promises for us are sure and unfailling. So knowing who God is means knowing who you are!
So as Christians, we need to know who God is to get the revelation of who we are. A person who does'nt know who he is , is a confused person. Wich is exactly what our generation doesn't need from us right now. But rather people who have found their identities in Christ knowing that because He is- I am.

God is love
God is my provider
God is my healer
God is my strenght
God is my rock
God is my salvation
God is my peace
God is my glory
God is ENOUGH!

Therefore

I am loved
I am blessed
I am whole
I am strong
I am protected
I am saved
I am secure
I am favored
I am ENOUGH!
