Your girl had quiet a challenging week to say the least which is why you’re getting the weekly newsletter on a monday instead of a sunday this week. I mean as much as I am trying to be consistent with these posts (believe me, I am) life just be lifing at times and there are so many things going on at the same time that other things just have to wait.
From two bad news about family members health conditions, to our church members needing us, to people at work confiding in me, adding to our own stuff that we have going on, it was just a lot. But what I can say is that all though there were many opportunities for me to throw in the towel and give up, I stood tall. This week, God has shown me how much I have matured as a wife, a minister and a woman. When in past seasons all these things would have made me sink, this time I was able to swim. One of the greatest joys for every believer should be that we start stepping over the things we used to stumble over.
My two family members in the hospital would have made me panic and fear but didn’t. My work collegue confiding in me would have made me compromise my integrity and tell someone else but this time it didn’t. The members in church needing our help and council would have made feel overwhelmed and could have even allowed my husband and I to argue at home but I didn’t allow that to happen by the grace of God. I am saying all this to say that it doesn’t really matter what you’re facing. It doesn’t matter the amount of traps the enemy sets in your path. The most important thing is that nothing you re facing is bigger than our great God. As long as Jesus is in the boat and a part of the journey you are taking, you can experience divine peace in the midst of your storm.
God wants His daughters to know that in the midst of trials and tribulations you have the victory in Him. You can triumph over the enemy because you cannot be defeated. As He is growing and maturing us, the things that used to scare us, frighten us and discourage us are losing their power over us. We might just be some small girls but we have a big God and greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We are triumphant in trials!
