The Bible so well teaches us that for everything there is a time and a season. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to break down and a time to build up. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). One of the most challenging things in our walks with God is to develop full faith in God's timing even after many years of walking with Him. We often come to God with our own timeline and schedules of what we want and when we want it. But today the Lord has laid it on my heart to talk to those of us who have started hiding behind God's timing and walking in disobedience and disregard to what God wants you to do right now.One of the most profound lessons I have learned about the devil and the way he operates is that he is very limited in his power and ability when it comes to what he can legally do to God's children. In the story of Job, we see that he is actually nothing more than God's errand boy for whenever the Father wants to promote His children. That's why we often confuse the most difficult and trying times with God rejecting or punishing us when in reality it means that our time of breakthrough and upliftment is right around the corner.
I have come to understand that what the enemy can't destroy, he delays. He cannot destroy you, he doesn't have that power. He cannot stop you and he definitely cannot kill you. But what He can do is delay you by telling you lies: "You're not ready, there are so many people who are better than you" and the list goes on and on and on. With these lies, he stops you from going after the abundant life God has promised you. He causes you to hold back and procrastinate.
How many Christians are claiming that they are waiting on God while God is actually waiting on them? How many are talking themselves out of their appointed time in the name of "God's time is the best?" How many are postponing their breakthrough because the enemy has deceived them that their time has not yet come?
“Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”John 2:4
I don't know who needs to hear this but God is saying: "My time is now. This is your season. This is the appointed hour for you to step into all I have for you."
In a world where many Christians are rushing ahead of God there are some who have been chilling for too long in the name of 'I'm waiting on God.' Some of you have even been under a strong deception that is hindering you from seeing that the enemy is delaying you where he can't hinder you. I have come to announce to you today that the set hour, yes the appointed time has come to favor you.
You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.Psalm 102:3
