Do not be deceived

They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.
 1. John 4:5 NKJV

Isn't it funny how the world can make every bad thing sound "good"? We say things like "I'm a bad b***" or "H*** stay winning" without actually thinking about what this means. We say "I am petty" (guilty) with so much pride. We just need to listen to a rap song nowadays, all their talking about is how many girls they have in several countries and what they are about to do to them (not being literal here). All these things happen today and the world loves and applauds it.

But why is that so? Why is adultery, immorality and self-love such a trend? Why are people celebrating the enemy and his customs? And as it is with every question,the answer is yet again in The Holy Bible.

Now the work of the flesh is evident, wich are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idoltary, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of wich I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galations 5:19-21 NKJV

 It is because they are of the world. It is because they don't move by the Spirit of God but rather follow their own fleshly desires.Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.

But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.

1. John 4:6 NLT 

The answer is that the spirit of deception is upon them. But we as children of God have the Spirit of truth (Thank God) so if the world is loud and proud about sin and evil let's be louder about our Jesus.

I have some truth for us believers right here:

• being pure is still en vogue
• being holy still pleases God
• being filled with the Holy Ghost still changes situations
• praising God still gets heavens attention
• going to church still matters
• prayer still works
• God is still on His throne
• the blood of Jesus still works for us
• God is still in the business of doing wonders

All these things were not only working for the apostles or during Jesus' lifetime. They are everlasting because God is everlasting. We are not out of fashion! We are the salt of this world wich stands for preservation. We will not be deceived by the lies of the world. We will stand firm in the truths of  God and hear His voice as well as be His voice.
